“This was a reaction to a something that occurred in the old, seedy version of Times Square late on a friday night. A child crying, nearly hysterical. Were they lost, abandon, hurt? What should I do? It only lasted a few moments, a guardian appeared quickly and lifted the child to a familiar shoulder. The howling wale of a lost toddler self quieted as they disappeared into the crowd. The frightening moment was over, but for possibly the first time in my life, I had experienced the adrenaline of parental instinct.” Munn/Lombardi Collection, Florence Italy
